Get to know me

A spark of talent, a good pinch of craft and a pound or six of hard work: that's my recipe for a compelling story.

I am a seasoned writer with a passion for arts and culture, wildlife and the environment, food and wine, homes and travel.

My credits include some of Britain's most established magazines and websites, such as Country Life, Countrylife.co.uk, Decanter, Woman's Weekly, Ideal Home and The Field.

I write daily travel, property and food stories for Italymag.co.uk, a fortnightly property page on Horse&Hound and a monthly page on HORSE magazine.

My work has appeared internationally in a range of American publications, including the Washington Post, Wildlife Conservation and Fresh Cup.

I also work as editorial consultant for online development, relaunch and competitive analysis projects with clients such as Marieclaire.co.uk, Housetohome.co.uk, Weddingmagazine.co.uk and Womanandhome.co.uk.

In the past, I have been editor of Country Life International, a thrice-a-year international property and travel magazine sold as a supplement to Country Life; content director for Countrylife.co.uk and Horseandhound.co.uk; editor of the now-defunct Hotelworld.com, a travel website by Associated Newspapers; and associate editor and writer for the Conde Nast Traveller online and Vogue online.
